Important Notes & Practical Tips

1. Reservations (Important)

All popular attractions require real-name reservations via their official WeChat public accounts. Hunan Museum is particularly competitive – it is advisable to check its official platform several days in advance and book promptly. Yuelu Mountain, Orange Isle, museums and art galleries all require advance reservation.

2. Transport

It is recommended to use the “Changsha Metro” app or WeChat/Alipay transit QR codes for the metro. Most core attractions are accessible via Metro Lines 2, 4 and 3. The conference hotel is located near metro interchange stations, making travel convenient.

3. Clothing & Protection

Wear summer clothing made of breathable fabrics such as cotton or linen, and bring a pair of comfortable sports shoes or flat shoes. As the weather is both rainy and sunny, carry an umbrella suitable for both sun and rain.

4. Payment methods

The vast majority of shops and restaurants in Changsha accept mobile payments (WeChat Pay, Alipay). It is still advisable to carry a small amount of cash for emergencies.

5. Local products & souvenirs

Traditional speciality products can be bought at Pozi Street, Taiping Street and major supermarkets. For designer cultural/creative products or souvenirs, visit the speciality shops on Chao Zong Street.

6. Flexible scheduling based on conference agenda

If participants have only a half-day or a specific free time slot, individual modules from the above routes can be combined separately – for example, only the morning (Orange Isle + Yuelu Mountain) or only the afternoon indoor venues.
